I don’t know about you, but when I heard Justin Timberlake was coming out with a new track, I have swooned – half fainted. Then I dreamily remembered his uber sexy vocals and swayed slightly.

Then I stopped because I realized I was in public.

(pssst.. doesnt he look like Chuck Bass here?)

In honor of Valentines Day, I decided to listen to my (and the world’s sweetheart) Justin Timberlake – and make a list of my favorites! Here are my top 5 JT Songs!

Flirty Justin Timberlake at his finest!  This song makes me want to go find him at some dodgy bar and make him my new salsa partner!

Girlfriend

FINE. I know what you’re thinking, this is SO nSync! BUT COME ON, act like you don’t want to be Justin’s girlfriend after hearing him sing his heart out in this song. YUP, thought so! 

Sexy Back

10 Words: Dirty babe. You see these shackles, baby I’m your slave. And we proceeded to go ‘head be gone with it. Not to mention back’s became sexy again.

Damn that boy has moves. At the risk of exposing my inner corny-self – hands down one of most romantic lyrics in a JT song ever. Who didn’t want Justin to write her a symphony? Or want a ring that represents Justin’s heart?

WHO MAKES BREAKING UP SEXY?!?!?!!?!?!? Justin Timberlake, that’s who! Bad-ass-ness at it’s finest by JT who had to scream and shout and let it all out, post breakup.

Rihanna finally didn’t show too much boob, leg, midrif, etc. The dress, the hair, the makeup all looks effortless yet so chic. She’s usually the one who always want to make sure she looks like a bad girl and takes it too far but this entire look from head to toe is perfection.

I went to the ultimate blog/design/networking conference: Altitude Summit. I sat in traffic for an hour on what is a normal 20 minute ride to the airport, couldn’t find parking for 20 minutes, lugged my hot pink suitcase, and equally big and honkin’ carry on bag in the parking lot to the airport, got stared down by people waiting in line in security because I asked to cut.. only to make it with 3 minutes prior to boarding time was announced. Oh I knew it was going to be a good trip from the start.

To be honest, I was terrified. I didn’t know what to expect. Would there be amazing gorgeous perfect bloggers everywhere? Would I be able to say anything to them without stuttering? The answer to both of those questions was YES and YES. Truth be told, I’m not the best networker, but I honestly have to say Alt Summit was an amazing experience for me – not only did I get tons of knowledge about social media/tech, but also some really good tips for my blog! Because I want to make your first (or next) Alt Summit conference visit amazing, I came up with some tips that I think will make your Alt visit PERFECT.COM!

1) STAY AT THE HOTEL!!!

This may be a bit tricky as the hotel sells out immediately after the conference is announced. We tried looking for rooms here and as it was sold out, we figured we would be able to stay at a nearby hotel and be fine. We ended up finding a modest hotel about .2 miles away – and we thought we were golden! What we weren’t banking on was the snow, an additional conference in the area, and a taxi wait time to rival SF weekend wait times.

 To save any hassle, ensure to stay at the hotel. Waiting an hour and a half for a taxi to show up and not being able to run up to our room to rest was a bit of a pain. Additionally, we were late for the mini party the first day due to taxi wait. Moral and lesson learned, we will be staying at the GRAND AMERICAN HOTEL next year for Alt!

2) HAVE A SNAZZY BUSINESS CARD

I saw everything from potpurri packages from Oleander and Palm to nail files from Pushups with Polish to mini Katies from Color Me Katie. Alt Summit is a place where it’s not only important to creatively dress to impress but to creatively network to impress – and what better to network with than a business card that’s hard to forget?

(Bonus points, if you can spot mine!)

3) MARK UP THOSE SNAZZY BUSINESS CARDS!

Please don’t hate me, seasoned Alt Summit attendee’s and readers, but this is uber important! You are networking with SO MANY PEOPLE the worst thing you could do is to give someone you met today a blank stare when you see them tomorrow. I had to no shame in my game, and used my little felt pen to jot down quick notes on where we met. And fine, if you don’t want to write on someones card – then make SURE to document in your notebook where you met someone and any other helpful info. Ex. “super cute lavender poodle skirt chic named Shelly, she loved my hairpin and she’s from San Francisco”.

4) GO TO EVERY LOUNGE. TWICE.

Typically companies host their own get togethers at lounges – this is where you get to meet the owners, marketing or advertising teams – these people are your sponsors, your connections, and heck even your future employers. I fell in love with the Bing lounge this year – it was a true blue recharge room – I came here when I wanted some coffee, wanted to chat with other bloggers or Bing employee’s or wanted to pick up a super uber fancy grilled cheese and tomato soup snack (I am SO making these at home one day).

Jessica Alba was even lending her start up prowess and knowledge to fellow bloggers at Honest’s booth at a lounge.

5) HAVE FUN AND MAKE SOME FRIENDS!

As I mentioned this was my first visit to Alt, and I wasn’t sure if I was stepping into a speed networking event or what – but either way it was a little intimidating in terms of so many workshops, so many booths, and so many people! My number one suggestion is to relax, be yourself, and have fun. I noticed I was much more comfortable with people when I was being myself and drinking in all of the knowledge from my fellow blogging community than when I was frantically networking with every blogger and her mom.

Also, make friends. Even if you walk away from the conference with 1 or 2 solid friends, you have a few more connections with their own blog following – you two can leverage each other and expand your respective networks.

PHEW! Now that you’re armed with some useful information – you are all set to attend your first Alt Summit Conference! Can’t wait to meet you!

Joy to the world, and to our lovely readers! We know you all are bustling around to complete your Christmas shopping lists and errands! In the midst of this busy season is a few Christmas, Hanukkah (here’s looking at you Maricel), and other Holiday parties! Here’s a snippet of one of my favorite current outfits and looks!

As you all know, I’m OBSESSED with lace! My current obsession is tights, tights, TIGHTS. I’m pretty tall (5’9) to be exact, and wearing tights allows me to wear my miniskirts with ease and class throughout winter!

I absolutely adore the contrast of bright tights and neutral tops – but as always, my number one rule is have fun with what you’re wearing! Be comfortable, and be you!
